Wakeline is a German deep-tech company building a new kind of AI, one that keeps learning while it runs.
Almost every AI system today works in the same way, and that includes the large language models everyone is talking about. You train a model on historical data, deploy it, and retrain it every so often. In between, it doesn’t adapt. It always lags a step behind the reality it operates in.
Wakeline takes a different route. Inspired by how living systems learn, it lets training and operation happen at the same time, continuously. The model never stops to be retrained. It learns from live signals as conditions change and builds up memory instead of resetting. Just as important, it was designed to run without depending on US hyperscalers or proprietary foundation models, which matters a lot for Europe’s own footing in AI.
