Dr. Ansgar Schleicher
from project manager to head of development and sales, to CEO of a global tech company and investor – as a Managing Partner and PhD-trained computer scientist, Ansgar brings a wealth of experience that he passionately shares with startups. He is a versatile and dedicated coach for founders at every stage. In his free time, he heads outdoors—cycling, hiking in the mountains, or on the lookout for great photo opportunities.
Bernhard Kugel
With over 25 years of venture capital experience, he brings extensive expertise and helps develop successful companies as a board member and shareholder. His foundation: a degree in business administration from RWTH Aachen University. Today, he shares his knowledge as a lecturer in the MBA program in Management and Entrepreneurship at FH Aachen University of Applied Sciences. In his free time, he enjoys traveling and always keeps an eye out for striking photographic moments.
Björn Lang
As founder and CEO of physiosense, Björn first got to know TVF from a startup perspective. Today, he shares his experience and network with founding teams and the startup ecosystem as Managing Partner. He studied industrial engineering (RWTH Aachen & SKKU Seoul), laces up hiking and MTB shoes in his free time, or “tries his hand” at DIY.
Peter Boymans
Our CFO oversees the entire structure of our VC funds, maintaining full financial control and ensuring smooth operations. With a degree in business administration and certification as a state-qualified accountant, he brings the expertise required for the role. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and finding balance through outdoor activities.
Pascal Bless
During and after his business studies at the University of St. Gallen, Pascal was active as an entrepreneur. After that, he changed sides to become an investor and has since focused on digital pioneers. Pascal loves being a sparring partner and helping founders to succeed. In his free time he finds his inner peace by cooking and likes to climb one or the other mountain.
Dr. Lars Diehl-Gussen
After studying industrial engineering and earning his PhD in production technology at RWTH Aachen University, Lars was drawn to the venture capital world. A carnival enthusiast by choice, Lars is passionate about new technologies and their application throughout the company. In his free time, he can be found doing any kind of sporting activity or socializing over a Kölsch beer.
Dr. Cäcilie Chwallek
In her doctoral thesis Cäcilie explored how personality influences investors’ decision-making. This research sparked her interest in the VC world, where she focuses on identifying visionary entrepreneurs and helping them scale their ideas. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, and meeting friends. “I’m passionate about the founders who turn their great ideas into something truly remarkable.”
Dr. Sarah Buchholz
After completing her PhD in Human Genetics and Neurobiology at the University of Cologne and conducting research at the Max Planck Institute for Biology of Ageing, Sarah’s path led her into the VC world — to the intersection of science, innovation and entrepreneurship. As an Investment Associate at TVF, she evaluates Life Science, BioTech and MedTech startups and supports the transfer of scientific breakthroughs into scalable businesses. In her spare time, you’ll find her on the padel court, lost in a good book or exploring new places.
Jan Linzner
After several years of professional experience in the financial sector, he entered the startup world through his work at a B2B startup. Following his Master’s degree in Business Analytics at the University of Cologne, where he focused on leveraging the potential of data for the venture capital industry, he now supports the TVF team as an Investment Analyst. In his free time, he enjoys road cycling, exploring the Cologne area, or trying out new cafés in his neighborhood.

Sabine Biergans
“Connection & Commitment” This is how Sabine herself likes to describe what motivates her. For the management, the team and our startups, the businesswoman and mediator is the contact person for all organizational issues and always has a finger on the pulse of her counterpart. You can find her in the forest, in the garden, on the bike or on the mat.
Sabrina Donhauser
The office management assistant is the first voice and face
of our company. Sabrina’s daily challenge to be responsible for bosses, colleagues and customers at the same time she masters with ease by setting the right priorities and empathic communication. Very fine antennae and tact are therefore her special characteristics. Besides the joy of her job, yoga and new work are her interests.
Beate Federsel
Our Senior Investment Manager studied business administration at RWTH Aachen University and has been a contact for medium-sized companies and start-ups for over 20 years. In her spare time, the Controlling Analyst can be found on her mountain bike or during other outdoor activities.
Humberto Duarte
For more than 25 years, he has successfully accompanied medium-sized companies in growth financing, shareholder changes and succession planning. In addition, he is responsible for the PR and marketing activities and is in charge of the activities of our partner network PIN. You can talk to him about football and travel at any time.
Birgit Götzenich
Birgit, a business administrator with a degree in business administration, is responsible for preparing the financial data of our partner companies and overseeing internal controlling, while also supporting our accounting team. In her free time, she stays active and enjoys spending time with her family.
Jeannine Schimanowski
Jeannine completes our finance and accounting department and is responsible for the accounting of our group of companies. The trained tax clerk is an absolute family person and has her heart in the right place.
Sara Seyhan
Sara has successfully completed her training as a management assistant in office communication, and we’re delighted that she’s staying on to continue supporting our team with such great dedication. In her free time, she most enjoys spending time with her family.
Christian Schnorrenberg
Christian is a trained banker and is responsible in our team for the preparation of annual financial statements as well as cash management for all companies within the corporate group. As a certified savings bank specialist, he draws on many years of experience as a finance manager in a pharmaceutical and biotech company. In his free time, he most enjoys spending time with his family.
